“Do the Right Thing”

Coalition of Immokalee Workers here this week!

Immokalee workers are migrant farmers and activists from Florida.  Migrant farmers have long faced substandard conditions, even modern-day slavery.  The coalition is working to promote fair wages and safe working conditions by urging big corporations to “Do the right thing.”  For more information about the coalition check out http://www.ciw-online.org/dotherightthing/

Berea Mennonite will be hosting a dinner for the Coalition at 7 pm Wednesday March 2, 2011

Join us as we swap farming stories and learn about their work!
